Stepping into 2018
I can hardly believe the end of the year has rolled around as fast as it has…but here we are again! Christmas is over and we’re about to step into a new year of unlimited possibilities and exciting new challenges.
For me, 2017 has been 12 months of joy and hard work (and if you know me, you know I love both!).
I’ve written countless company profiles, blog posts, advertorials and sales emails. I’ve crafted and edited hundreds of pages of web content. I’ve worked with start ups, veteran businesses, digital and creative agencies, and government departments.
It’s been a pleasure to serve each and every one throughout the year, and if we haven’t worked together yet, I hope we will soon!
I read somewhere that it’s just as important to figure out what you learned from the past year as it is to set goals for the year ahead. So here are my 3 biggest lessons from 2017:
1. SYSTEMS, SYSTEMS, SYSTEMS: No matter what business you’re in, implementing great systems helps you accomplish great things.
2. AUTHENTICITY IS EVERYTHING: Great branding is not about asking your customers who you should be. It’s about knowing who you are, wearing it proudly and attracting customers who believe in what you do.
3. INSPIRING SIMPLICITY MATTERS….A LOT: The sheer sight of a large clump of text makes most people sigh. Be quick, simple and interesting and the world is your oyster!
